When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see; If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, While thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, And each time you think of me, I know you'll miss me, too. But when tomorrow starts without me, please try and understand, That an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand, And said my place was ready in heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye, For all my life I'd always thought I didn't want to die. I had so much to live for and so much yet to do, It seemed almost impossible that I am leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad, I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had. If I could relive yesterday, I thought, just for a while, I'd say good-bye and kiss you and maybe see your smile. But then I fully realized that this could never be. For emptiness and memories would take the place of me. And when I thought of worldly things that I'd miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow. So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart.
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Sgt. Billy Bushnell who was born in Arkansas on January 27, 1983 and passed away on April 21, 2007 at the age of 24. We will remember him forever. Billy was a wonderful person. He had a way of making you feel special. He was who he was no matter what. Those of you who knew him know what I mean. Billy left behind a mom and a dad, Wesley and Peggy Bushnell, three sisters, Tina Bates, Amy Bates and Stephanie Bushnell. Two brother-in-laws David Bates and Jason Bates. And Last but not least Billy's wonderful fiancee Bree. Many, Many friends and other family members who will miss him dearly. Not only was Billy a brave soldier but also a very loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Billy was one of those people who touched people's hearts. At his memorial some of his friends stood and talked about how good of a friend Billy was to them. If Billy was your friend he was your friend no-matter what. I can't put into words how wonderful my little brother was and how much he means to all of us. Like my sister put it we just praise God for the fact that it didn't take losing him for us to realize how much we love him, he went to heaven knowing just how much we care and love him.

Lord Jesus help me as I mourn, comfort me with the knowledge of your love which is stronger than death. Enable me to trust you for the future of my love ones and myself. Help me to cast all of my care on you, knowing that the grave holds no power over those who trust in you. Amen.

The Fallen Written by Andrea Senter
They never thought when they left here their families they'd see no more No one dares to think about The high price of such a war.
If you asked them why they did it They'd say because it was right Someone has to stand up And someone has to fight
A world away they defend our cause, as we tuck our kids in bed. Some give all for all of us, And somewhere tears will be shed.
They do not ask for fame or fortune Just that we recognize We are here, free, today, Because the fallen have paid the price

2/12 cav. Billy's family. Brothers in arms.
Please feel free to lite a candle for Billy even if you didn't know him.
I miss and love you so much!!! I'm so proud of you!!
