My name is SSG Graves I didn't know Billy but I just want to thank him and his family for his and his family's sacrifice. Next week I have the distinct honor of escorting Billy's family to a memorial ceremony at Ft. Hood Tx. I have been deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan just like Billy and I've lost friends and if I can just say to Billy's loved ones that I promise that Billy and all of my fallen commrades will never be forgotten. Thier sacrifices are in the highest honor of our great nation and we will continue to do our jobs over there and honor thier memories forever. Thank you Billy! Close

You took care of your soldiers and showed them all what great leaders do. You can not be forgotten because you are engraved in our memories and etched in our hearts. We know that you stand over us and protect us. May god bless your family.
Thank God for the PGR. You are all heroes in my book.
For the 4th of July family get together over here in Houston with John's family, I broke out in the song "God Bless America". I sang it through the whole way with everyone staring at me like I was a nut. But I felt that song and I believe God is going to intervene and with the help of our brave soldiers we will get our country back. Thank you Billy and thank you Cory and thank you Brian for your sacrifice. God Bless Brian's family.God Bless you Uncle Wesley, Aunt Peggy, all the children and grandchildren. God Bless you Ricky, Katie, Chase and all of our family. God bless America. Let's keep it ours.

Billy was always making me laugh. I remember him and Jon crawling under the table to eat the crumbs off the floor when Ed brought snacks to Sunday School. We called them the church vacuum cleaners. :) That was when we were 7 and I knew then that he was someone to remember.
Peggy, You are an inspiration to me. You glow with pride and your faith in God reminds me that we serve a loving God. Thank you for being who you are and molding Billy into the man he was. He was...Billy, the only word that describes him is Billy...there was no one like him.

I know Billy very well... We were in the same HQ Platoon in Hawaii while part of 2-35 25th Inf. Billy was such a nice guy, and such a hard working soldier.
You lose track of old battle buddies throughout the years, but hope to catch up another day. I know that I will catch up with Billy one day down the road when my life on earth is done.
Billy, I will see you again some day.... Hang in there, I know you are in a better place and all your love ones and friends will be with you one day.... and we can all laugh and hang out once again.

NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN / Frank Battisto (Friend of his sister, Stephanie )
Stephanie and the Bushnell Family,
Just wanted you all to know that Billy's sacrifice will never be forgotten by my family and me. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you, and your family, that have a son, a brother, and an Uncle.
Billy's life and ultimate sacrifice continue to be an inspiration in our lives. We know that our safety and future are only as secure as the courage and the heroism of our country's defenders. Not a day goes by that we don't thank Billy and the Bushnell family for what they have done for us. It's a debt that we can never repay.

Gone But Not Forgotten / Misty (Sister of Fallen Marine Cpl. Rusty Washam )
The Fallen Written by Andrea Senter
They never thought when they left here their families they'd see no more No one dares to think about The high price of such a war.
If you asked them why they did it They'd say because it was right Someone has to stand up And someone has to fight
A world away they defend our cause, as we tuck our kids in bed. Some give all for all of us, And somewhere tears will be shed.
They do not ask for fame or fortune Just that we recognize We are here, free, today, Because the fallen have paid the price.
I am so sorry for you loss. I lost my brother Marine Cpl. Rusty Washam February 14, 2006 in Iraq by a suicide bomber he was only 21. People keep saying it will get easier as time goes by its been alittle over a year since we lost Rusty and it still feels like yesterday. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. May God Bless you and help heal your Broken Hearts from this huge loss. My brother has a site to it is rusty-washam.memory-of.com
