WE OFTEN THINK OF BYGONE DAYS
WHEN WE WERE ALL TOGETHER
THE FAMILY CHAIN IS BROKEN NOW
BUT THE MEMORIES WILL LAST FOREVER
TO US YOU HAVE NOT GONE AWAY
NOR HAVE YOU TRAVELLED FAR
JUST ENTERED GOD'S ETERNAL HOME
AND LEFT THE GATE AJAR.

Bless Billy and all of those who are fighting for our freedom to walk out the door everyday, drive our cars, work at jobs, eat at restaurants, have pets, have computers, have cell phones, freedom to do and say what we want, no matter how much it pisses some people off.  LOL.  Your life is not gone without notice. I never knew you, but I know that nothing happens for us in the USA without our military and the brave souls that keep us safe.  The most important job in the world. You did well, and deserve the utmost purple heart, the love of God. Close

A NOTE FROM ANOTHER SOLDIERS MOTHER  / Sandy Conklin (Through Tim Goldacker )

Dear Bushnell Family & Friends!  I did not have the pleasure to know your Billy, but it's obvious that he was an awesome person.  I am merely writing you this Tribute as the mother of a soldier who has served one tour of duty in Iraq, and who will most likely return sooner than I would like.  A tiny piece of my heart breaks off every time that I hear that one of our soldiers has been taken.  I wrote a poem about a year ago while my son was in Iraq that I would like to share with you.  I wrote it, just to remind myself that "angels were riding on his soldier".  Now, your Billy is one of those Angels.  My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.  You're so right!!!  Billy will NEVER be forgotten!

ANGELS ON HIS SHOULDER

How gracefully they fly, and silently they flit,
Watching and searching for just the right place to sit.

To be there for someone who might need a helping hand,
Could it be someone who is far away, fighting in another land?

They found him, I knew they would and are carefully watching his back,
He's my Son, he's my Hero, who's currently serving in Iraq.

They've been keeping him safe for months and out of harms way,
I wish I could thank them personally, but they'd all just fly away!

So, each night as I say my prayers I ask that they continue to sit,
On the shoulders of this Brave Soldier for just a little bit!

All My Love,

Sandy Conklin
